Pastor Bart - Lead Pastor
Bart was born and raised in Michigan. He is a graduate of Spring Arbor University and has his Masters of Divinity from Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University. Bart came as pastor to Central in June of 2006 after serving almost 9 years as a youth pastor between two different churches. He loves being involved in the life changing work of the ministry, and he has a passion for people being the church instead of just “going to” or “doing” church. Church is not about just coming, putting in your time, and then going on with life. Church is about the life that God gives, and there is no better!
Bart has been married to his wife, Kristen, since 1999, and they have two grown sons. He enjoys spending time with his family. Bart also loves playing sports… any sport, but especially enjoys golf. If it has a ball or puck and there’s a game to win, he’s there! He also enjoys music, reading, and playing games. Bart also loves being involved in the University of Michigan sports as an usher on the event team.
His Favorites:
Books: The Bible, Anything written by Andy Stanley, Patrick Lencioni, or Craig Groeschel.
Movies: Dead Poet’s Society, Bourne, RED
Music: Chris Tomlin, MercyMe, and many other artists.

Who we are...
The Wesleyan Church is a Bible based, Protestant denomination. As a Protestant denomination we are part of the Western Christian churches, like Free Methodist, Nazarene and Baptist, and are separate from the Roman Catholic Church. We offer the good news that faith in Jesus Christ makes possible a wonderful personal relationship with God, a holy life empowered by His Holy Spirit for witness and service, and assurance of eternal life. Our ministry emphasizes practical Bible teaching, uplifting worship and special programs to meet a variety of life needs.
The Wesleyan Church headquarters is located in Fishers, Indiana. We have nearly 400,000 members in 5,000 churches and missionaries in 80 countries of the world. Formed in 1968 from a merger of serveral like-minded groups, dating back as fas as 1843, the Wesleyan Church has its roots in John Wesley’s Methodism.
