Roof Update - December 13, 2023

​The roofers started today! For those who don’t know, we had a significant leak in our storage room by our kitchen about a month ago. Thankfully, the leaked water was mostly on a cart under the ceiling where the water came through. Upon further investigation, half of our flat roof needed to be replaced (the other half was replaced about 5 years ago). The cost of the upgrade is $17,500 and is the focus of our Christmas offering this year.
 
I will say this: God has been good to us. While the budget has been very tight the past few years, God gave us a few years of good finances prior where we were able to save some money. We have money saved that can pay this bill if we receive $0 toward the project, but we do not want to dip into that savings too much. God has provide, and I am sure he will continue to provide. Even in the shortfall the past few years, we have been able to continue to provide ministries to our church family and the community around us. This year, we had to replace two of our four furnaces, and we were able to pay for those. God is good!
 
Whether you are able to give or not this Christmas, I humbly ask that you pray for our church and the ministries through Central. I’m very thankful we are able to get this completed.
